Schedule: from 7:30am until 4:30pm
We follow the COVID-19 protocol, advised by the Public Health Institute.
The tour includes transportation, nature expert tour guide, telescope for the group, entrance fees, breakfast, and lunch.
Our tour guide will meet you at your lodge to start a day of adventure at 7:30am, and from there we will start a 1 hour, and 45 minutes drive. On the way, we will have a stop at a traditional restaurant, where the group will have 45 minutes to have breakfast, then, you will have as well, the chance to buy souvenirs, and Costa Rican products made by local artisans. After this, we will go to Rincon de la Vieja National Park, where we will do 2.5 hours walk, the hike will be moderate level, we will constantly stop, to have the opportunity to explore, and learn about one of the greatest, and most active volcanos of Central America, as well as the amazing tropical jungle’s flora, and fauna. Due to the volcano’s high-risk activity, we are not allowed to go to the crater itself, however we will have the opportunity to see the volcano from 1km distance, and the most incredible fumaroles, smoking gasses, and mud pods in throughout the trails. After the hike, on the way back the group will enjoy an amazing traditional lunch. We will be back from the tour by 4:30pm.
What to bring:
-Comfortable clothing, shorts are advised, sneakers, preferably with good grip soles, hats, sunglasses, camera, bug spray, sun block, bottle of water, snacks.
