  • Day 1: San José ➔ Jungle Arrival An early 6:00 AM private departure from San José includes a delicious roadside Gallo Pinto breakfast. Arrive at La Carolina LodgeClick to open side panel for more information by 10:30 AM to stretch your legs on the grounds before a farm-to-table lunch.
  • 🕒 Afternoon Time Management (1:00 PM – 5:30 PM): After checking into your cabin, the afternoon is yours for free on-site activities. You can choose to go on a self-guided trail hike, tour the thriving organic garden, or stretch out on the relaxing riverfront yoga platform. To wrap up the afternoon, head down to the riverbank to soak in the lodge’s signature firewood-heated hot tub right next to the cool, rushing water. Afterward, sit down for a candlelit dinner.
  • Day 2: Choose Your Adventure ➔ Guanacaste Fuel up with a hearty lodge breakfast, check out, and choose how you want to spend your morning before heading to the coast:
  • Option A (The Classic Hike): Head out to hike Tenorio Volcano National Park with a guide to witness the magical turquoise Rio Celeste Waterfall.
  • Option B (The Optional Add-Ons): Stay on-site or nearby to enjoy the lodge’s premium activities, like a guided horseback trek or a river tubing adventure.
