Overview: A great combination. First features the Doka Coffee Farm, a working coffee-producing
plantation that sits in the tranquil valley of Heredia, nestled in the midst
of dormant volcanoes. After a guided tour of the grounds, the coffee plants
and production operations, viewers are treated to an award-winning Coffee Show,
a multimedia presentation highlighting the history of coffee production and
consumption in Costa Rica - as well as around the world.
Next you will travel to the town of Alajuela where you will enjoy a traditional
Tico lunch. Next stop is the Bird Zoo, an excellently run non-profit organization
that specializes in rehabilitating wild life and returning members to their
natural environment. In the zoo you will be able to see Scarlet Macaws, Toucans,
a wide variety of monkeys, and many other exotic animals. Tour includes lunch,
and all entrance fees. Don't forget your camera! |
